Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy St. Nicholas Feast Day! I hope this letter finds you well and preparing to celebrate the holidays with friends and family. There is great excitement on campus and throughout our school community. The school is nicely decorated in celebration of the Advent season and the coming of Christmas. This past Sunday, Fr. Robert McLaughlin ’94 was the celebrant of the Mass we held on campus to celebrate Grandparents. Seeing so many families attend Mass was terrific, and I enjoyed meeting wonderful grandparents.
Our seniors are excited to hear about college acceptances. Students who have applied early decision/action will get their results before the Christmas holiday. Please pray for them and all of our seniors as they prepare applications for colleges and universities. Our underclassmen continue to work hard in the classroom, and this last trimester we saw high academic achievement from many of our students. I am proud of their hard work and wish them an enjoyable and restful holiday break.
We have another exciting week on campus coming up. On Tuesday, December 13 our Jazz Ensemble will perform a Christmas Concert in the library. The concert begins at 7:30pm. Our annual Tree Lighting and caroling will follow this on Wednesday, December 14. That event will be held in our courtyard and begins at 6:30pm. Finally, Friday, December 16 our Men’s Vocal Ensemble will perform a Christmas Concert at St. Joseph’s Church in Oradell. The concert begins at 7:00pm. We hope your family can attend a few of these events as we celebrate Christmas together.
We would also like to thank all the parents who have donated to the Faculty/Staff Christmas Fund. We are so grateful for all of our employees, and this fund helps them share the holiday spirit with their families. Your consideration and gifts are greatly appreciated. My wife Amy and I wish you and your family all the best this Christmas and blessings for health and happiness in the New Year. May God bless you and your family.
